Serve Application
At Grace Abounding we strive to ensure you are able to find where God needs your service the most to further the mission you have been called to in this current season.
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone Serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen”
1 Peter 4:10-11 NIV

Step 1: Spiritual Assessment
Because everything we do is Holy Spirit led, we ask you that you click on the link below to take your spiritual gifts assessment to really solidify where you are at in your current season and pair that with your mission. We know there are a lot of these out there, and you probably don’t believe you need it. Our Founders discovered that there were differences in their results that were different from even six months prior to taking this again starting this new chapter of life.
Now that you see both the areas you are gifted in, as well as areas to be mindful of in your current season. Let’s figure out where you are feeling led to serve!
Step 2: Descriptions of areas to serve
We want to ensure that where you serve in this current spiritual season complements where God is calling you and that the role also fits within your lifestyle. Below are the current areas we have to serve, and descriptions of what these roles may need to do. Select the boxes next to the areas you feel led to serve in. (Matthew 5:14-16, 10:42; Romans 15:1)
You can select one or more roles that you are interested in, and if you are undecided, we can absolutely talk about it! Flexibility is part of this too, the only constant we have in this life is that it is ever changing and ever growing.
-
Mentor:
Mentors will be serving participants in the outreach directly. This will include being present and engaged with the participants, genuinely checking in, paying close attention to anyone who may need a little more care/concern, assisting with guiding those to the “Free Store” that will be provided, possibly a point of contact (up to your discretion and comfort level), and communication with leadership. (This is a highly specialized role, women with women and men with men)
(Psalm 82:3-4, Isaiah 58:10)
-
Outreach Support:
Outreach Support will be helping us with various things in support of the program. This could include donation pickup, “Free Store(s)” (setup, breakdown, helping participants find things(women in women's store, men in men's in men's store)), food (setup, breakdown, cleanup).
(Galatians 5:13, 2 Corinthians 9:6-7)
-
Administration:
Administrative Support is not typically going to be supporting participants going through the program directly. In this role, you would be assisting with documentation, order placement for items needed in the “Free Store(s)” and other areas. (1 John 3:18)
-
Outreach Administration:
Outreach Administrative Support would be in a more hybrid capacity where there may be some direct contact with the women in the program. This can include assisting in the “Free Store” to maintain inventories, take inventory of donated items, and work hand in hand with the administrative team. (Acts 20:35)

Prayer Warriors
Prayer Warriors is one of the most important roles in this program. Those who have an incredibly strong prayer life and are willing to spend time supporting one or various areas within the program and praying over them for protection, discernment, and guidance to maintain the mission God has provided us. This role is not to be taken lightly, but making sure you also have a strong foundation of those that can pray over you too. This role truly requires a Servant’s heart, but those who are called to it are one of the most essential and valuable to the ministry. (Ephesians 6:18, Romans 12:12)
Step 3: Tell us about you!
Step 4: Let's Get Started!
The largest portion of this is Prayer over where the Holy Spirit guides you to be. Even if this means you are no longer interested in a specific role or duty, sometimes when life changes, the call to service changes too.
We want those involved to be passionate, loving, humble, and excited to be where you are led to be. This will be different for everyone, so there is no such thing as one size fits all. Once we have been able to thoroughly look over your form we will be in contact by phone, but we always want to be available if or when you have questions, please let us know!
